We are a pioneering company in the oilfield equipment industry, with a rich history dating back to the 1920s. As a world leader in precision-engineered oilfield equipment, products, and services, we are seeking a highly skilled Vice President of IT to join our team.

Job Overview:

The Vice President of IT will be responsible for defining and driving information technology strategies and implementations that enable productivity, profitability, and growth. This individual will develop an organizational structure to successfully address the evolving information technology needs of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all IT-related activities, including enterprise applications, network and communication infrastructure, end-user support, and cyber risk.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain an IT strategic roadmap aligned with the strategic priorities of the business.
  • Define and prioritize projects to deliver maximum business value.
  • Manage financial and resourcing constraints, defining budgets and targets for individual projects and annual plans.
  • Initiate and drive continuous system improvements with maximum business impact.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to ensure alignment across all IT initiatives.
  • Ensure total customer satisfaction, internal and external, by delivering continuous oversight to monitoring of IT systems performance.
  • Provide global team leadership for the IT team, leading recruitment, performance management, and career management.
  • Ensure stable, secure, and compliant operations of all applications in scope and continuity of key business processes.
  • Collaborate with and manage third-party IT vendors and suppliers.
  • Ensure IT governance and compliance with industry best practices.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage IT staff, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Responsible for the company's cyber-risk assessment and mitigation strategy.
  • Coordinate all internal and external audits, including cyber-related requests.
  • Prepare and distribute key application metrics and project reviews.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, IT, computer science, or engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Advanced technical degree or MBA is desirable.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience.

Success Factors:

The successful candidate will be a seasoned executive with strong leadership capabilities, a high level of energy, and a passion for the business. They will bring a track record of implementing technology and systems to a successful conclusion, with experience implementing large ERP solutions, preferably JDE.

The successful candidate will demonstrate leadership capabilities, outstanding people skills, and a 'command presence.' They will be a confident, but unpretentious, collaborative leader who recognizes that how things get done is just as important as what gets done.

They will have a strategic acumen, recognizing the impact of technology on the industry, and be able to develop and drive a technology vision and plan for the company. They will also have the ability to develop and improve the strategic focus throughout the IT organization.

The successful candidate will be a confident, but unpretentious leader who recognizes how things get done is just as important as what gets done. They will proactively partner and collaboratively engage with business partners, knowing how to communicate and 'bring people along,' allowing initiatives to move forward seamlessly.

They will have experience in successfully transitioning IT operations to managed service providers and managing IT service delivery to ensure it meets agreed-upon SLAs and KPIs.

They will have worked in lean organizations and be comfortable integrating complex international businesses, with a proven track record and experience building a stand-alone IT infrastructure across global regions with various technical complexities.
