Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Corrosion Control Specialist to join our team at Ameri-Force. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for surface preparation, application of protective coatings, and installation and maintenance of environmental controls to ensure safe and proper corrosion control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare all types of surfaces for preservation using various techniques, including scraping, chipping, and sanding.
  • Operate high-pressure washers and water jetting equipment to remove grease, rust, scale, and dirt from surfaces.
  • Mix solvents and coatings accurately to formula and apply coatings in accordance with specifications and good marine practice.
  • Capable of brush and roll painting for passing all inspection processes.
  • Work independently to complete job assignments and meet deadlines.
Requirements
  • C7/C14 Certifications preferred but not required.
  • Minimum 5 years of maritime painting and blasting experience.
  • DBIDs eligible preferred.
  • Must possess a good general knowledge of ship repair procedures and test requirements.
  • Must possess a working knowledge of techniques and ship repair terminology.
  • Must be physically and medically capable to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) required for the job as prescribed under OSHA standards.
