Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician - Psychiatry - Behavioral Health Hospital to join our team at Cone Health. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychiatry and experience working in a behavioral health hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

The Physician - Psychiatry - Behavioral Health Hospital will be responsible for providing medical supervision to the interdisciplinary team, participating in clinical research projects, and providing accurate and timely documentation of patient care. The incumbent will also be responsible for participating in medical audits, quality improvement programs, and investigations related to professional care standards.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will have a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from a Medical School recognized by the North Carolina Medical Board. The candidate will also have completed an appropriate residency training program and have board certification recognized by either the American Board of Medical Specialties or the American Osteopathic Association in the primary medical specialty.

Preferred Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a behavioral health hospital setting and have a strong background in psychiatry. The candidate will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
