Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate School Counselor to join our team at Alternative Paths Training School. As a School Counselor, you will play a vital role in supporting students with developmental and other disabilities in achieving their academic and personal goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling services to students, addressing their emotional, social, and academic needs.
  • Develop and implement risk assessment and crisis intervention plans in collaboration with the threat assessment team.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders to ensure student success.
  • Collect and analyze data to inform counseling goals and progress reporting.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in school counseling and adhere to professional ethics and standards.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in counseling, social work, or school psychology from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Current Professional License in School Counseling, School Psychology, or Social Work.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural and diverse environment, communicating effectively with students, parents, and staff.
