Job Overview

Join our team as an Overnight Behavioral Counselor and play a vital role in the care and support of children and youth in our residential program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the physical care of residents, developing acceptable habits and attitudes, and managing resident behavior.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care and support to residents, including physical care and emotional support
  • Develop and implement individualized service plans to meet the unique needs of each resident
  • Manage resident behavior and provide guidance and support to help residents make positive choices
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure a cohesive and supportive environment for residents
  • Document resident progress and provide regular updates to the team

Requirements:

  • High school diploma and six months experience working with children
  • Bachelor's degree in human services or a related field (or actively pursuing)
  • Knowledge and understanding of the organization's mission and values
  • Ability to work effectively with children and youth, including those with special needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
