Key Responsibilities:
The Nursing Administration Supervisor will assist the Director of Nursing with various administrative tasks and oversee nursing personnel. Key functions include:

  • Acting as a liaison between nursing units and the Director of Nursing.
  • Facilitating meetings to address resident care concerns.
  • Monitoring nursing staff performance and recommending training as needed.
  • Preparing departmental budgets and ensuring compliance with care standards.
  • Conducting evaluations of nursing services effectiveness.

Qualifications:
Education:
Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required, with a preference for a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Licenses/Certification:
A valid RN license in the state of employment is preferred, with a valid LPN license acceptable if RN is not held. CPR certification is also required.

Experience:
A minimum of seven years in nursing is required, including at least two years in a supervisory role within a long-term care setting.

Skills and Abilities:
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, effective communication abilities, and the capacity to manage emergency situations decisively. Knowledge of the Nurse Practice Act and related regulations is essential.
