We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit team at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital. As a Registered Nurse in our ICU, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to critically ill patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and evaluate patients' progress, identifying any sudden or subtle changes in their medical condition.
  • Administer medications intravenously by injection or via gastric tubes, as prescribed by physicians.
  • Deliver regular updates of patients' progress to doctors, patients, and their families.
  • Perform approved diagnostic or therapeutic procedures according to patients' clinical status.
  • Respond to health emergencies when called upon and alert appropriate doctors.
  • Evaluate patients' laboratory data and vital signs to determine emergency intervention needs.
  • Care for patients' needs throughout their recovery journey in ICU.
  • Advocate for patients and families' needs.
  • Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
  • Set up and monitor medical equipment and devices like medical ventilators, oxygen delivery devices, transducers, and pressure lines.
  • Assess patients' pain level and sedation requirements.
  • Maintain patient records.

  • Registered Nurse Licensure in good standing through the State of Texas (required).
  • AHA BLS certification (required).
  • AHA ACLS certification within six (6) months of employment (required).
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English (required).
  • ICU Registered Nurse experience (preferred).
