Reproductive Endocrinology Specialist

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Virginia Jobs is dedicated to providing exceptional clinical care in general and specialty Obstetrics and Gynecology to the women of central Virginia. Our mission also includes providing undergraduate and graduate medical education in the field and advancing the field through basic and clinical research. Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified candidate to provide specialty care in reproductive endocrinology and infertility to patients at VCU Health. The position will include participation in student and resident education and facilitating the creation of a Fellowship program. The position also includes participating in the department's clinical research activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching: The faculty member will have teaching responsibilities to include actively participating in the department's educational activities, with particular attention to educating students and residents in their core educational objectives in reproductive endocrinology and infertility.
- Research: The person filling the position is encouraged to initiate clinical research projects. They are expected to participate in and facilitate other department research and contribute to scholarly publications/presentations.
- Service: The faculty member will serve on departmental, hospital and/or university committees as necessary, as well as in a professional capacity in their field.
- Clinical: Full participation in the clinical activities of the reproductive endocrinology and infertility division is expected. Clinical activities are to be determined by the division director but are expected to include a combination of clinic, inpatient care, and operating room.
Requirements:
- Completion of ABOG or ACGME accredited fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility
- Eligible for medical license in Virginia
- Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching and patient care
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of an ACGME accredited OB/GYN residency
- Certification by the American Board of OB/GYN in General OB/GYN and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility; candidates who completed their fellowship recently enough that they are not yet eligible to sit for the exam will be considered with the expectation that they take the certification exams at the earliest opportunity
- Potential for scholarship or creative expression to complement and expand existing expertise in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology
