Key Responsibilities

  • Production Management
    • Directly supervise production personnel, including mixing staff and temporary employees.
    • Indirectly supervise warehouse and maintenance staff.
  • Shift Operations
    • Direct shift activities to meet production schedules, quality requirements, and customer needs.
    • Communicate with outgoing shift supervisors to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Quality and Safety
    • Verify that Critical Control Points (CCPs) and Critical Quality Points (CQPs) are being met.
    • Ensure accurate production documentation and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Training and Development
    • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
    • Train employees on SOPs and ensure compliance.
  • Employee Management
    • Coach, train, and evaluate employee performance.
    • Address attendance and performance issues.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Manage timekeeping and paid time off systems.
    • Perform employee reviews and initiate disciplinary action as needed.

Requirements

  • Education
    • High school diploma required.
    • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related business field preferred.
  • Experience
    • 2-4 years of lead or supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.
    • Strong mechanical trouble-shooting skills.
    • Food industry experience and knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, and safety training desired.

Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be able to tolerate standing for long periods of time.
