Position Overview:

PCSI is seeking a dedicated Custodial Services Specialist responsible for performing a range of routine and semi-skilled cleaning tasks. This role is essential for ensuring that various facilities, including office buildings and institutional spaces, are maintained in a clean and orderly manner. The successful candidate will report directly to the project manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute a variety of routine cleaning tasks to maintain assigned locations in pristine condition.
  • Thoroughly clean and sanitize rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and other common areas.
  • Prepare cleaning solutions by mixing water and chemicals according to safety guidelines.
  • Polish and maintain metal fixtures, lighting, and marble surfaces.
  • Perform floor maintenance, including sweeping, mopping, and operating floor buffers.
  • Clean carpets and upholstery, including steam cleaning as necessary.
  • Dust and move furniture and equipment as required.
  • Wash walls, windows, and other surfaces to ensure cleanliness.
  • Manage waste disposal and recycling processes effectively.
  • Restock and maintain bathroom supplies as needed.
  • Secure and monitor facilities, ensuring they are locked and safe.
  • Maintain outdoor areas, including mowing and trimming lawns.
  • Clear snow and ice from walkways during winter conditions.
  • Document and track all completed tasks accurately.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Preferred experience of at least one year in a custodial role or a combination of education and training that demonstrates relevant skills.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Proficient in using general cleaning equipment and maintenance tools.
  • Ability to read and follow safety instructions for cleaning chemicals.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to establish positive working relationships.
Additional Requirements:
  • Must pass background checks and drug screenings.
  • Physical capability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions and handle cleaning chemicals.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
