Job Title: Behavior Technician

The Center for Autism and Related Disorders, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. As a member of our organization, you will have the opportunity to work with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families, providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment programs in a variety of settings.

Job Summary:

As a Behavior Technician, you will work under the direction of a Clinical Supervisor to implement ABA treatment programs, collect and record data on patient progress, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate and timely records, adhering to CARD policies and procedures, and representing the organization professionally and ethically.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement ABA treatment programs with patients under the direction of a Clinical Supervisor
  • Collect and record data on patient progress with high fidelity
  • Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and colleagues
  • Maintain accurate and timely records
  • Adhere to CARD policies and procedures
  • Represent the organization professionally and ethically
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must pass initial CARD Behavior Technician Training program
  • Experience working with individuals with ASD preferred
Work Environment:

Treatment may occur in a variety of settings, including the patient's home, the CARD center, the patient's school, the community, or via telehealth. Behavior Technicians work in environments that are both indoors and outdoors and may move between different locations throughout the course of the work day.

Physical Requirements:
  • Be able to work with patients who are seated on the floor, in small chairs, or other home, school, community, and clinic environments
  • Move frequently throughout the therapeutic setting to gather materials, anticipate and respond to the movement of a patient, and/or provide instruction in a variety of settings
  • Constantly position oneself to participate and respond to the movements and behaviors of patients
