Key Responsibilities

Equipment Management

• Guarantees a seamless event experience through precise and timely setup, operation, and dismantling of essential audiovisual equipment as outlined in the technical specifications.

Client Relations

• Aims to surpass the expectations of both internal and external clients.

• Cultivates positive relationships with all clients through effective communication.

• Engages with guests on-site to ensure their requirements are met and that the equipment setup is functioning correctly.

• Monitors events and checks in with clients throughout the duration of the event.

• Understands and nurtures the relationship between the hotel and the client.

Technical Skills

• Demonstrates an understanding of the technical elements of the role and possesses basic operational skills to troubleshoot and resolve equipment and software issues.

• Addresses equipment challenges and modifications promptly and professionally.

Operational Knowledge

• Familiarizes with company protocols, adheres to procedures, and accurately completes necessary documentation.

• Utilizes equipment lists to identify the items scheduled for setup and breakdown.

• Collaborates with colleagues and external vendors regarding equipment needs.

• Enhances revenue through effective upselling techniques.

• Works with clients to finalize billing and invoicing.

• Completes order entries in the designated system as required.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a BA/BS Degree, preferably in Hospitality, Business, Media Production, Radio/TV/Film, or a related discipline.

• 0-6 months of experience in field audiovisual work or customer service.

• Demonstrated technical aptitude through interest and exposure to emerging technologies.

• Availability to work at hotel locations within the major metropolitan area of application.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment

The role is performed in a hotel or convention center setting, with moderate exposure to outdoor elements and varying levels of noise. Team members will work with advanced audiovisual equipment and electrical components, and may be required to operate at heights using lifts and ladders. Flexibility in working hours is essential, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Team members must adhere to appearance standards as defined by the company.
