Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Penn State Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Aiding with various healthcare services, including obtaining specimens and conducting routine lab studies
  • Assisting with administrative functions, such as coordinating patient flow and scheduling appointments
  • Providing direct patient contact and engagement, with a focus on compassionate and reliable care
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Must meet current eligibility to sit for the exam with the attainment of certification or registration through one of the Penn State Health approved agencies for Medical Assistants within 90 days of employment date
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must obtain BLS Certification within 6 months of employment date
Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program
  • Previous outpatient experience preferred
