Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist/Inpatient to join our team at NYU Langone Health. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the delivery of high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Care Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient, in collaboration with the care team.
  • Discharge Planning: Coordinate discharge plans to ensure a smooth transition for patients and their families.
  • Therapeutic Interventions: Design and deliver evidence-based therapeutic programs to address speech and language disorders, including aphasia, articulatory defects, and voice disorders.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Patient Progress: Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and collaborate with the care team to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Education and Supervision: Provide education and supervision to students, staff, and other healthcare professionals to enhance their knowledge and skills.

Requirements:

  • Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Experience: Three-hundred hours of supervised clinical experience in speech-language pathology.
  • Certifications: NYS Speech Language Pathology License and ASHA Certification.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
