  • Provide expert guidance and prepare detailed estimates as necessary.
  • Engage in the development of studies, materials, methodologies, and cost assessments as needed.
  • Act as the Estimating Team Leader for assigned projects, coordinating the overall estimating process.
  • Conduct estimates at all project phases, ensuring accuracy throughout: Concept, Schematic, Design Development, and Construction Documents.
  • Effectively communicate estimates to clients, design teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Analyze proposal specifications and drawings; participate in pre-proposal meetings to clarify project scope and estimate requirements.
  • Compile estimates through a thorough quantity survey of the expected scope of work.
  • Participate in pre-proposal discussions, bid strategies, and presentation meetings as necessary.
  • Collaborate with Marketing teams on the technical aspects of estimates.
  • Support Project Teams in evaluating proposals during the project buyout and contracting stages.
  • Prepare for and engage in project transition meetings from Estimating to Operations.
  • Facilitate training and development for department personnel.
  • Execute additional responsibilities as directed by management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five years of experience in commercial estimating.
  • A strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
  • Proficiency in relevant software such as OnCenter, Sage Timberline, Bluebeam Revu/Studio, and Building Connected.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working with clients, design teams, and subcontractors.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in data analysis using Excel and document preparation in Outlook and Word.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the subcontractor market.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Construction Science, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Experience in field operations on construction projects, including project management or field supervision.
  • Experience with BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, or Assemble.
