Weekend Night Shift Production Lead

Utz Quality Foods is seeking a Weekend Night Shift Production Lead to work from our Broadway manufacturing facility in Hanover, PA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Production Supervisor in leading all packaging, processing, and sanitation activities.
  • Monitor daily attendance, evaluate individual performance, and train personnel to ensure standards are met.
  • Assist with scheduling personnel in an efficient manner to meet daily production requirements.
  • Fill in for various department functions when needed and provide breaks.
  • Monitor equipment operations and communicate breakdowns to maintenance.
  • Ensure production of quality product by upholding all processing and packaging standards.
  • Execute and monitor tasks to maintain data integrity/accuracy in the ERP data system.
  • Maintain a working knowledge and utilize RedZone, 6S Principles, and Continuous Improvement.
  • Use EAM to enter work orders and track preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Responsible for maintaining a safety-first culture and work environment.
  • Follow and enforce all GMP, food safety practices, and applicable requirements of the SQF system.
Requirements:
  • Requires analytical, math, and reading skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Leadership and management skills to direct the department and interface with other departments.
  • Knowledge of designated packaging and processing operations to assist when needed.
  • Must be forklift and high-reach certified or willing to do so.
  • Must be able to moderate lifting and occasional skid pulling.
  • Fluent in Spanish desired but not required.
