Job Summary

We're looking for a skilled Activities Assistant to provide a stimulating environment and increase the functioning levels of our residents through daily activities. As an Activities Assistant, you will be responsible for planning and leading a variety of daily activities, including arts/crafts, music, recreational games, sensory stimulation, cognitive activities, and discussion groups.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and lead daily activities, including group and individual sessions, to promote socialization, engagement, and cognitive stimulation.
  • Use motivational techniques to encourage participation and engagement from residents.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records and report any concerns or issues to management.
  • Clean up after activities and maintain a safe and organized environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including covering the front desk on occasion.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent degree.
  • Preferred 6 months to 1 year experience in a Skilled Nursing setting.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under stress and emergency situations.
