Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

This role, under the guidance of the Program Director, is pivotal in overseeing clinical operations and ensuring the effective performance of selected direct service personnel. The Clinical Team Leader collaborates closely with the licensed clinical director and aids in various aspects of program enhancement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This leadership position entails the daily management of assigned staff engaged in the program's established functions. The role encompasses all facets of management within the designated program.

PRIMARY DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Delivering individualized clinical supervision and support to team members, ensuring that client services are effectively managed.
  • Intervening promptly during crises to mitigate situations and alert necessary parties for resolution.
  • Providing immediate counseling that aligns with the program's philosophy and supports team members.
  • Ensuring the safety, health, and welfare of clients.
  • Completing assigned documentation in a timely manner.
  • Supervising subordinate staff to ensure timely service delivery and task completion.
  • Maintaining accountability for work hours and time management in coordination with the Program Director.
  • Facilitating at least one group session weekly.
  • Offering assistance to colleagues as required.
  • Supporting clients in Mental Health Court.
  • Leading team meetings and participating in agency meetings as approved by the Program Director.
  • Monitoring the productivity of supervised staff, ensuring all documentation is completed promptly and meets agency standards.
  • Assisting the Program Director in identifying and addressing staff training needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

A typical pathway to acquiring the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for this role includes obtaining a master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related discipline from an accredited institution, along with valid registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS). Candidates should possess a minimum of two years of diverse experience in mental health service provision and at least one year of supervisory or management experience.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • California driver's license and current vehicle insurance/registration.
  • Reliable transportation capable of passing safety inspections if older than five years, excluding bicycles, mopeds, and motorcycles.
  • Eligibility for licensure/registration with BBS or the California Board of Psychology.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

Preferred candidates will have a master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field, along with full licensure as an LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC, verified by the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS), and diverse experience in mental health service delivery.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Full licensure as LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC verified with BBS.
  • California driver's license and current vehicle insurance/registration.

WORK SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
