Job Summary:

As a Warehouse Logistics Specialist at Saica Pack UK, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient transportation and storage of goods within our plant. This position requires a high level of physical activity, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect finished product pallets from production exit lines and transfer them to authorized warehouses.
  • Locate pallets in warehouses and record their location in the system.
  • Load pallets in warehouses for dispatch, following loading orders and recording movements in the system.
  • Keep warehouses tidy and organized, adhering to established limits.
  • Unload and distribute deliveries.
  • Assess the condition of strapped bales and communicate any quality concerns before loading into trailers.
  • Maintain equipment in good working condition, inspecting regularly and reporting any issues immediately.
  • Demonstrate health and safety understanding and compliance.
  • Understand and follow all operational procedures.
  • Work a flexible schedule if needed for coverage.
  • Work effectively as a team player, communicating well at all levels and contributing to the team effort.
  • Take the initiative to problem-solve, challenge, and improve to deliver agreed targets.
  • Generate innovative solutions to work situations.
  • Comply with company Safety, Hygiene, and Environmental rules.
  • Undertake regular safety observations.
  • Participate in risk assessments.
  • Participate in customer complaint investigations related to shipping.
  • Comply with Health and Safety at Work regulations by maintaining personal safety and that of other team members.
  • Contribute to the overall profitability of the site by minimizing waste while processing loads.
  • Maintain a high level of housekeeping within the plant to increase productivity and prevent accidents.
  • Communicate with the Shipping Manager and other team members as required.
  • Ensure compliance with Procedures, Guidelines, and Work Instructions in force at all times, as well as other relevant company documentation.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment, preferably in the corrugated board packaging field.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Professional approach, demonstrating flexibility and ownership.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm and self-starter attitude.
