Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Service Worker/Kitchen Helper/Dietary Aide to join our team at Healthcare Services Group, Inc. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for assisting the Cook in the preparation and service of meals, ensuring that quality food service is provided at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Cook in the preparation and service of meals, following established policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and deliver food and trays, wash dishes, and clean and sanitize the kitchen according to health standards.
  • Utilize protective gear in all appropriate functions and follow infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures to ensure a sanitary environment.
  • Respond to the paging system in a timely and appropriate manner and maintain a positive, pleasant, and tactful interaction with residents, staff, and facility guests.
Requirements
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude with the ability to follow oral and written instructions and perform routine, repetitive tasks daily.
  • After completing all appropriate training, utilize leadership skills to accomplish all responsibilities without supervision and do so without injury to oneself or other individuals.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and specialized training in food service is desirable.
  • Current ServSafe certification is required by State/County law, and a Food Handler's card is also required.
  • Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 30 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
