Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit and train supervisory, clerical, and operational staff.
  • Conduct sales outreach and lead the sales team.
  • Provide direct oversight and leadership to all service center employees.
  • Manage daily operations to ensure optimal service center performance.
  • Analyze load plans from origin terminals to understand operational impacts.
  • Facilitate Safety and Claims meetings with staff and ensure participation.
  • Continuously work on the development and enhancement of service center personnel.
  • Communicate organizational goals, challenges, and updates to the team.
  • Achieve and maintain performance targets set by upper management.
  • Monitor the performance of direct reports and offer guidance and coaching as necessary.
  • Ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Oversee and confirm that service center maintenance tasks are completed.

Qualifications:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Candidates should possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in roles such as Dock Supervisor, Driver Supervisor, or Service Center Operations, with 5+ years preferred. Familiarity with AS/400, Windows, and internal systems such as the Dock Yard Management System and BLU computer systems is essential.
