Job Description:

As a Senior Instrumentation Technician at Spectraforce Technologies, you will be responsible for providing technical support and coordination of work activities to ensure customer service needs are met. You will troubleshoot across all site automation technologies, resolve issues, and improve operations by making necessary logic changes, recommending, and executing equipment upgrades.

You will perform calibrations and associated corrective actions on production, facility, and utility equipment. You will maintain equipment by providing troubleshooting to ensure equipment performance is reliable and meets expectations. This includes adjusting, repairing, and replacing components, as well as independent analysis of communications and configuration of systems and controllers.

You will perform preventive, corrective, or emergency work orders and respond to service calls while the plant is in operation, which may include off-shift periods and weekends. You will correct work may include replacing electrical or powered components, including multiple phase motors.

You will assist in the review of PLC or HMI program logic during certifications or troubleshooting to better understand deviations from proper operation. You will develop or update machine logic and execute test protocols either independently or developed by Engineering and under their direction, depending on the complexity for the scope.

You will maintain primary, secondary, and/or working calibration standards. You will review calibration data sheets for departmental calibration standards to ensure standards are within manufacturer's stated tolerances. You will identify out-of-tolerance conditions and communicate results as required by SOP.

You will execute test protocols developed by self or others (Reliability and/or Engineers) in support of the qualification of new and existing equipment. You will consult with Engineer/Reliability, vendor, or project manager on results and feedback. This may include support for Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) or Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and related travel.

You will work independently or with Reliability and Engineers on projects and improvement initiatives to ensure equipment meets site standards. You will review project designs and make recommendations for automation, measurement equipment, or calibration standards. You will review and provide final approval (closing) on technician work orders.

You will develop or guide the development of metrics and information to be used in root cause analysis (RCA) meetings. You will actively participate in and RCA meetings to identify and resolve calibration and equipment issues on a real-time basis and improve business performance.
