Job Description

Rees Scientific Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and validating monitoring equipment and instrumentation used in the healthcare and medical research field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install technical equipment in medical and research facilities, ensuring compliance with manufacturers' specifications.
  • Inspect, repair, calibrate, maintain, and validate electrical, mechanical, and network equipment, utilizing test and analysis instruments.
  • Maintain inventory of parts issued, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
  • Modify or develop instruments or devices, under the supervision of the engineering staff, to meet the evolving needs of our clients.
  • Conduct training sessions on the correct operation of equipment, providing customers with the knowledge and skills necessary to maximize their investment.
  • Organize installations of systems according to the engineer and project manager specifications, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Serve as a lead on specific installation assignments, providing guidance and support to team members as needed.
  • Work as a salesperson or service technician for the company, building strong relationships with customers and promoting our products and services.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technical developments and advancements, attending training sessions and studying technical manuals to maintain current knowledge.
  • Operate company or personal vehicles to travel to assignments, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Travel up to 50% to 80% of the time, including trips up to three weeks at a time, with a valid driver's license and insurance.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Supervise four to 10 non-supervisory employees on the work site, ensuring that responsibilities are in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; and government regulations, technical procedures, and professional journals.

Ability to write complex reports, procedure manuals, and business correspondence, as well as speak effectively, present information, and respond to questions from groups of managers and customers.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardizations exist.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions, furnished in written, oral, diagrams, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

Familiarity with Internet software, manufacturing software, spreadsheet software, and word processing software, as well as Object-Relational Database (ORD) and Structured Query Language.

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, or five to six years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, specifically in security, HVAC, electrical, and network systems.
