Job Summary

Pharmavite LLC is seeking a skilled Set-up Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and adjusting equipment to manufacture and package products while ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures, safety rules, and good manufacturing practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute changeover schedules for each machine/line, ensuring that changeover parts are cleaned and inspected prior to each changeover.
  • Review and implement changeover checklists, set-up, and start-up each piece of equipment, and support machine/line until steady-state operation is achieved.
  • Use hand tools, portable power tools, and material handling equipment to perform precision set-up during production line changeovers.
  • Identify and perform adjustments to improve production during line operation to meet all production requirements, including line speeds, quality, efficiency, daily production output, and required changeover times, OEE.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment by making regular inspections and completing assigned preventive maintenance work orders.
  • Troubleshoot malfunctions in equipment and perform minor repairs.
  • Assist senior mechanics in diagnosing problems to learn to perform complex repairs.
  • Issue maintenance requests for major repairs.
  • Communicate with leads and supervisors on schedules and priorities to ensure smooth flow of correct materials into manufacturing and other areas in accordance with production schedules.
  • Maintain all required documentation, including cleaning logs, maintenance logs, and production records.
  • Perform all duties in compliance with safety rules, Standard Operating Procedures, and current Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Assist in the operation of production equipment by performing the duties of a Packaging Line Technician and Packaging Line Lead when necessary.
Requirements
  • A working knowledge of the manufacturing/packaging operation, usually resulting from a minimum of one-year experience as a machine operator or set-up mechanic.
  • Sufficient mechanical aptitude to perform routine repairs, adjustments, and precision set-up procedures on machines/equipment.
  • The ability to safely work with standard hand tools and portable hand tools.
  • Read, write, and speak English fluently to communicate equipment problems, read and understand operating manuals, and maintain written records.

Annual Pay: $41,308.00 - $61,808.00

This represents the minimum and maximum base salary range for this role, plus annual incentive. Various elements are used to determine a candidate's starting salary, such as job experience, specific skills, and comparison to internal incumbents currently in the role.

Pharmavite provides compensation for all overtime hours worked by non-exempt (hourly) employees in accordance with state and federal law.
