Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Packaging Set-Up Mechanic to join our team at Pharmavite LLC. As a key member of our manufacturing operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective production of our high-quality vitamins and supplements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute changeovers for production lines, ensuring that all necessary parts are cleaned and inspected prior to each changeover.
  • Set up and start up equipment, and support machine/line until steady-state operation is achieved.
  • Identify and perform adjustments to improve production during line operation, meeting all production requirements, including line speeds, quality, efficiency, daily production output, and required changeover times.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment, making regular inspections and completing assigned preventive maintenance work orders.
  • Troubleshoot malfunctions in equipment and perform minor repairs.
  • Assist senior mechanics in diagnosing problems to learn to perform complex repairs.
  • Issue maintenance requests for major repairs.
  • Communicate with leads and supervisors on schedules and priorities to ensure smooth flow of correct materials into manufacturing and other areas in accordance with production schedules.
  • Maintain all required documentation, including cleaning logs, maintenance logs, and production records.
  • Perform all duties in compliance with safety rules, Standard Operating Procedures, and current Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Assist in the operation of production equipment by performing the duties of a Packaging Line Technician and Packaging Line Lead when necessary.
Requirements
  • A working knowledge of the manufacturing/packaging operation, usually resulting from a minimum of one-year experience as a machine operator or set-up mechanic.
  • Sufficient mechanical aptitude to perform routine repairs, adjustments, and precision set-up procedures on machines/equipment.
  • The ability to safely work with standard hand tools and portable hand tools.
  • Read, write, and speak English fluently to communicate equipment problems, read and understand operating manuals, and maintain written records.

Annual Pay: $41,808.00 - $61,808.00

This represents the minimum and maximum base salary range for this role, plus annual incentive. Various elements are used to determine a candidate's starting salary, such as job experience, specific skills, and comparison to internal incumbents currently in the role.

Pharmavite provides compensation for all overtime hours worked by non-exempt (hourly) employees in accordance with state and federal law.
