About the Role:

Responsibilities:

* Clean and disinfect surgical instruments and equipment according to hospital protocols.
* Sterilize surgical instruments and equipment using various methods, including autoclaves, dry heat sterilizers, and chemical sterilizers.
* Assist with the storage, issuance, and distribution of medical supplies in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
* Perform routine maintenance on sterilization equipment to ensure optimal performance.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Sterile Services operations.

Requirements:

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred.
* 1 year of experience in a related field, such as surgical technology, medical supply management, or healthcare administration.
* Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently; basic math skills required.
* Familiarity with hospital policies and procedures; knowledge of infection control principles and practices.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions:

This position requires working in a sterile environment, wearing personal protective equipment, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The estimated salary range for this position is $45,000-$60,000 per year, depending on experience.
