About the Job

This is a full-time position responsible for leading the finance function of the Alabama African American Civil Rights Heritage Sites Consortium. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in financial management, budgeting, and reporting. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

The Finance Director will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy of the organization, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and providing timely and accurate financial information to support decision-making.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement financial plans, budgets, and forecasts
  2. Oversee accounting, payroll, and accounts payable functions
  3. Maintain accurate financial records and prepare reports for management and stakeholders
  4. Analyze financial data to inform business decisions
  5. Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and organizational policies
