Position: Patient Care Unit Supervisor (Registered Nurse/RN)

Employment Type: Full-Time

The Patient Care Unit Supervisor is tasked with overseeing, executing, coordinating, and managing patient care through effective communication with patients, families, nursing personnel, and other stakeholders within the unit, in alignment with all relevant laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.

Qualifications:
Nursing diploma (associate's or bachelor's degree in nursing)

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in geriatric nursing preferred
  • In-depth knowledge in the nursing field
  • Familiarity with practices, procedures, and the legal framework governing operations in post-acute care settings
  • Ability to implement and interpret departmental programs, objectives, policies, and procedures
  • Proficient in all competency areas, including patient rights, safety, and sanitation
  • Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and confidential information
  • Adhere to company policies, including those related to harassment and compliance
  • Exhibit integrity and professionalism by following Life Care's Code of Conduct and completing necessary compliance training

Responsibilities:
Effectively lead the daily operations of unit nurses and CNAs to ensure quality care on the floor.

  • Manage and coordinate patient care and services through effective interpersonal interactions, enabling patients to achieve or maintain optimal physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being
  • Act in a leadership role during emergency situations concerning patient and staff safety
  • Coordinate the development and implementation of patient care plans and services
  • Demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language
