Job Summary

The Culinary Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of meals in the absence of the Executive Chef or Sous Chef. This role requires excellent leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure. As a member of our kitchen team, you will assist in supervising staff, ensuring high-quality dishes, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Main Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring that all food is prepared according to our high standards.
  • Assist in menu planning, costing, and execution, working closely with the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs to create innovative and delicious dishes.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, supplies, and labor costs.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, providing guidance and feedback to ensure excellent service and quality control.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and maintain a positive working relationship with colleagues.

Qualifications

  • Degree in culinary arts or related field (HS Diploma and formal culinary education/equivalent training)
  • 2-3 years of experience in a hotel, restaurant, or club with fine dining (experience in multi-unit operations/dining styles preferred)
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent time management and organizational skills.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
