**Job Title:** Healthcare Provider Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized and caring Healthcare Provider Assistant to join our team at American Family Care North Austin.

Salary: $45,000 - $65,000 per year

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare providers with various clinical tasks, including obtaining vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and administering medications
  • Perform laboratory tests, maintain lab equipment, and ensure quality control
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide exceptional care
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth operation of the healthcare facility
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or healthcare providers
Requirements

A minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience as a medical assistant or in a related field is required. Certification as a medical assistant (CMA) or registration with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is preferred.
