Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Float Pool MedSurg team at St. David's Medical Center. This exciting opportunity allows you to work in a fast-paced environment, providing direct patient care and contributing to the growth of our organization.

About the Position:

  • Estimated Salary: $75,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience
  • Shift: Nights (Rotating Weekends)
  • Employment Type: Staff
Key Responsibilities

As a Medical Surgical Float Pool Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering high-quality patient care, prioritizing tasks based on patient needs and acuity levels
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, addressing complex medical conditions, and optimizing treatment outcomes
  • Providing education and support to patients and families, empowering them to take an active role in their care and recovery
  • Facilitating discharge planning, ensuring a smooth transition to home or post-acute care
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of recent clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Current RN licensure in Texas or eligible for temporary licensure
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required within specified timeframes
