Salary: $920 per week for locals, with offered pay rates based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.

Job Description:

A Certified Medical Assistant plays a vital role in healthcare settings by providing clinical and administrative support to physicians and patients. Responsibilities include taking patient histories, assisting with examinations, performing basic laboratory tests, and managing medical records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Taking patient medical histories and vital signs.
  • Assisting physicians during examinations and procedures.
  • Performing basic laboratory tests and collecting specimens.
  • Administering medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Scheduling patient appointments and managing calendars.
  • Maintaining and updating patient records and files.
  • Handling billing and insurance processing.
  • Providing patient education and support on treatment plans.
  • Ensuring the cleanliness and organization of medical equipment and exam rooms.
  • Communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Qualifications:

  • BLS/ACLS certifications required.
  • Active Certified Medical Assistant License or ability to obtain within 180 days of employment.
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and stress management skills.
