Job DescriptionThe Jr. Litigation Manager is responsible for overseeing the management of litigation cases from initiation to resolution. This role involves managing a team of legal professionals and administrative staff to ensure efficient and effective case management.
Key Responsibilities:- Case Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire lifecycle of litigation cases, from intake to resolution, ensuring all deadlines are met and necessary paperwork is filed.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct research and review case files to determine the best course of action and provide recommendations to attorneys.
- Team Supervision: Coordinate and supervise the work of paralegals, legal assistants, and other support staff to ensure all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Project Management: Utilize project management skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Collaboration with Attorneys: Collaborate with attorneys to prepare for litigation, including researching relevant laws and drafting legal documents.
- Executive Support: Provide executive administrative support to attorneys, including managing schedules and coordinating travel arrangements.
- Reporting and Documentation: Write reports and other legal documents, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Project Management Skills: Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Data Entry and Accuracy: Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Contract Negotiation: Experience with contract negotiation and review.
- Executive Support: Experience providing executive administrative support to attorneys.
- Writing and Communication: Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft legal documents.
- Clerical Skills: Strong clerical skills with the ability to manage complex case files.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with Excel.
- Education: HS Diploma required, AA or BA preferred.
- Certifications: Paralegal Certificate preferred.
- Availability: Ability to work overtime as needed.
