Job Summary

Bachus & Schanker, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Litigation Paralegal to join its dynamic Litigation team in the Denver office. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to attorneys and clients in all aspects of litigation cases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage case files, including transitioning from pre-litigation to litigation
  • Order and review litigation medical records for clients
  • Assist in drafting complaints, including short form and long form documents
  • File and serve complaints, ensuring timely and accurate submissions
  • Upload documents to client files, maintaining organized and easily accessible records
  • Track and calendar case management orders and pretrial orders, ensuring compliance with deadlines
  • Prepare and calendar plaintiff fact sheets, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Assist in drafting and sending requests for production and interrogatories
  • Schedule depositions and mediations, coordinating with clients and experts
  • Prepare and serve subpoenas and service process, ensuring timely and accurate submissions
  • Follow up with clients on required productions and information
  • Assist in drafting and filing expert disclosures, coordinating with experts and clients
  • Prepare and mail client letters, ensuring timely and accurate communication
  • Prepare co-counseling agreements and updates, ensuring accurate and complete documentation
  • Respond to requests from co-counsel, maintaining open and effective communication
  • Manage and maintain case files, ensuring organized and easily accessible records
  • Assist with settlement distributions and lien resolution, ensuring accurate and timely submissions
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely convey information
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs, including Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of litigation concepts, terminology, and procedures, including State and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong time management and organizational skills
  • Outstanding proofreading skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Compassion, energy, and enthusiasm, with a positive and can-do attitude
  • Ability to maintain focus and concentration throughout the day, with a strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 3 years of experience as a Paralegal in a law firm setting
