IT Support Services Trainee

ABOUT YOU:
You are a motivated individual keen to expand your knowledge in managing IT infrastructures. You understand that the best learning often comes from hands-on experience and collaborating with seasoned professionals who have honed their skills over time. You are prepared to assist them wholeheartedly, taking on tasks that contribute to the team's success. While you may be new to the IT field, your previous experiences have equipped you with valuable insights into customer service and teamwork. Your integrity and strong work ethic are qualities that your peers, educators, and past employers would recognize.
Looking forward, you seek the chance to demonstrate your capabilities and secure a full-time role within a reputable organization. You aspire for stability and comprehensive benefits, as well as opportunities to advance your IT career, rather than remaining stagnant in a larger corporate environment. You have ambitious goals and prefer not to be confined to an internal IT department; you envision a bright future within the managed service model. You desire a workplace where team members contribute equally while fostering a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere. Additionally, your passion for technology drives you.
ABOUT US:
Safety Net is a distinguished IT firm, established in 2003, with a track record of consistent growth, offering professional development opportunities for our team members. We prioritize providing our clients with a highly skilled workforce, which is why we invest significantly in training. Our philosophy is simple: if we take excellent care of our employees, they will, in turn, take exceptional care of our clients. We understand the importance of work-life balance and strive to offer flexibility whenever feasible. Recognizing the link between customer satisfaction and employee satisfaction, we make a concerted effort to create a fun and engaging office environment, ensuring that all staff members are equipped with top-notch technology and a comfortable workspace. We also adhere to a strict "no jerks" hiring policy. To maintain exceptional service for our clients, we embrace structured processes (Lean, ITIL, CRM, etc.), so if you prefer a disorganized work style, we may not be the right fit for you. However, if you thrive in a challenging environment, we encourage you to reach out.
Key Success Factors for This Role:
Strong customer service skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a genuine eagerness to learn.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Delivery and installation of new equipment (under supervision)

- Associate's degree or higher, or nearing completion of a degree program
- Minimum GPA of 3.2
- Excellent communication skills, including proficiency in spelling and grammar
- Professional and approachable demeanor
- Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Valid driver's license
This paid internship offers flexible hours, with the potential for up to 40 hours per week, depending on availability. Compensation will be based on experience and the results of a skills assessment.
