As a Mental Health Technician, you will play a critical role in providing direct patient care to our adolescent residents, ensuring their safety and well-being, and supporting the therapeutic milieu.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the safety and well-being of residents while supporting the therapeutic milieu.
- Participate in the development and implementation of residents' behavioral programs by providing care and close supervision of facility residents and documenting behavior.
- Develop positive relationships with residents and implement treatment plans as necessary.
- Observe peer culture and recommend solutions to problems as needed.
- Participate in residents' group therapy and attend staff development training to meet facility and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain professional relationships with members of all departments and direct care staff.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Higher level education in Psychology, Social Work, Criminal Justice, or related field preferred.
- One year experience in a residential treatment or children's services program preferred.
- Valid state driver's license.
