Credit Risk Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Risk Management ERM to join our team at East West Bank. As a key member of our Enterprise Risk Management function, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and oversight of credit risk management practices across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform comprehensive and independent risk analysis activities to support credit risk management.
- Opine on the adequacy of underwriting required criteria, including policies and procedures, and the effectiveness of the credit and portfolio management process.
- Review business units and enterprise-level key risk indicators (KRIs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) to produce and opine on periodic risk monitoring reports for senior management and Board committees.
- Monitor Board key risk indicators, assessing the need for new indicators depending on changes in the entity's business or processes.
- Experience in assisting business units with new or undetected KRIs and KPIs, and assist with defining the appropriate risk metrics.
- Review and analyze internal and external reports for risk issues using the bank's risk framework.
- Utilize data to support synthesized and aggregated credit risk data and manage reporting systems using database access to facilitate more complete and timely risk monitoring and reporting.
- Follow up on resolution of credit issues identified by Internal Asset Review, Auditors, or Examiners.
- Execute ad-hoc risk management projects as requested by management.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of degree.
- 8+ years of direct credit risk experience or related experience working for regulatory agencies or in other financial services, public accounting, or other related areas.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and proven knowledge of data analysis tools and techniques with ability to be flexible and effectively manage various projects and competing priorities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to think broadly, generate simple and creative ideas, and to translate strategy to execution.
- Collaborative team player and relationship builder with excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards, practices, and expectations for regional/large banks.
- Proven, proactive approach to problem solving and workflow analysis.
- Must have excellent written, verbal, organizational, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple deliverables and be able to identify and implement process improvements.
- A strong working knowledge of MS Office Software Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PPT).
- Knowledge of and understanding of all federal and state laws applicable to East West Bank.
- Willingness to expand knowledge and skillset to contribute to the ERM department.
The base pay range for this position is USD $120,000.00/Yr. - USD $210,000.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
