We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Manager, Clinical to join our team at Huntington Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and administering activities to identify and manage risk across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement risk management strategies to minimize preventable patient, employee, and visitor adverse occurrences and injuries.
- Support the effective use of resources to reduce the financial severity of fortuitous loss.
- Collaborate with administration, medical, and nursing staff to provide advice and guidance on risk management services.
- Develop, implement, and review policies and procedures related to risk management, patient safety, and healthcare law and regulation.
- Provide expertise on risk financing, loss prevention, and loss control.
- Bachelor's degree or Clinical License required.
- CPHRM certification within 1 year of hire.
- Minimum 4 years' experience in healthcare risk management, quality, regulatory, patient safety, process improvement, or healthcare related legal work.
- Claims handling experience preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact with executives and managerial staff.
- Advanced degree (Masters or Juris Doctor) preferred.
- Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) issued by State of California.
