About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist II to join our team at Texas Oncology. As a key member of our pharmacy department, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients undergoing cancer treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Medication Management: Prepare and dispense medications, drugs, and other medications according to professional standards and practices.
  • Patient Counseling: Provide and document drug counseling to all patients, ensuring they understand the effects of medications and potential side effects.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory logs, check for outdates, and ensure standard drug supplies are in adequate supply in all departments.
  • Quality Assurance: Initiate and follow quality assurance and safety policies and procedures, monitoring compliance with all legal regulations and accreditation organizations.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with nursing and medical staff to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of pharmacy and current state licensure.
  • Experience: Minimum three years of experience as a registered pharmacist, with oncology background preferred.
  • Licensure: Current license as a Pharmacist in the state of practice.
