Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Assistant to join our team at The Pet Vet on Patton. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and supporting our veterinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with appointments, procedures, and patient care
  • Prepare patients for surgery and minor procedures, and assist with surgical tasks
  • Restrain animals safely and efficiently, and obtain accurate vitals and medical histories
  • Collect and prepare laboratory samples, and maintain medical equipment
  • Provide high-quality client communication and updates on patient care
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of medical procedures and animal handling
  • Strong communication skills, good judgment, and ability to manage stressful situations
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
