Job Title: Therapist Trainee/Associate

Job Type: Full-time, Hourly

Shift: Monday-Friday Business Hours, Flexible with Evenings and Weekends

Compensation: $21-$24/hour (Trainee), $28-$34/hour (Associate)

We are seeking a highly skilled Therapist to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in various aspects of our mental health and addiction program, including group therapy, family therapy, and individual therapy. The successful candidate will report to the Clinical Director and/or Program Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work directly under the Clinical Director and/or Program Director
  • Establish positive, trusting relationships with patients
  • Create individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and circumstances
  • Meet with patients for regular individual sessions and maintain up-to-date progress notes and treatment plans
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of patient progress
  • Collaborate with family members and conduct family sessions as needed
  • Refer patients to outside specialists or agencies when necessary
  • Maintain thorough records of patient meetings and progress
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain client confidentiality

Qualifications & Skills:

  • License/Certification: AMFT, ACSW, APCC, or MFT Trainee (required), LMFT/LCSW/LPCC (preferred)
  • Education: Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field (required)
  • Experience with therapeutic modalities (Psychodynamic, CBT/DBT) and trauma work (preferred)
  • Current CPR/First Aid Certification (required)
  • Valid CA Driver's License
  • Current Health Screen (required)
  • TB Clearance (required)
  • Clinical Experience: 2 years or more (preferred)
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Ability to build rapport quickly
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to communicate with compassion and empathy
  • Strong ability to manage time and prioritize tasks
