We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Assistant II to join our team at Christus Health. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a positive experience for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Greets patients in a warm and friendly tone, registering and interviewing them to obtain accurate demographic and financial information.
- Schedules appointments, returns messages, and assists patients, nurses, and providers in patient care.
- Performs vital signs, obtains history of chief complaint, and conducts Point of Care Testing.
- Documents patient information and ensures quality control for each test completed.
- High School Graduation or GED.
- Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant, EMT, or medical assistant program of study.
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association and Certified Medical Assistant certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Ability to work independently and assert initiative on performance improvement opportunities.
This role requires daily contact with infectious diseases and body fluids, and knowledge of general safety standards to limit exposure. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations is essential.
