Healthcare Operations Director

We are seeking an exceptional Regional Service Excellence Lead to join our team at Jefferson. In this critical role, you will oversee patient access operations across multiple facilities within the healthcare system.
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of patient access services, including registration, insurance verification, patient liability collections, and customer service. You will work closely with departmental leaders, staff members, and other stakeholders to uphold high standards of quality, compliance, and patient satisfaction.
A key aspect of your job will be monitoring key performance metrics to ensure goals are achieved. You will also provide strategic direction and leadership to the patient access teams within assigned regions, recruiting, training, mentoring, and supervising departmental leadership staff.
In addition, you will oversee all aspects of patient access services, including registration, insurance verification, patient liability collections, and customer service. This involves collaborating with IT and other departments to leverage technology solutions for streamlining processes and enhancing efficiency.

About the Job
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or a related field. Alternatively, they may possess 11 years of experience managing staff in patient access, physician practice management, revenue cycle management, or healthcare administration. A master's degree and HFMA certifications are preferred.
Required skills include in-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, billing practices, and insurance requirements. Proficiency in computer and Microsoft Office skills, as well as familiarity with healthcare EHR applications like EPIC and Cerner, is essential. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team of professionals, are necessary for success in this role.
