POSITION SUMMARY:
The 3D Printing Technician is responsible for executing routine operations of metal additive manufacturing equipment. Collaborating with a diverse team of engineers, sales professionals, and customer service representatives, this role focuses on formulating and implementing strategies to foster growth within the additive manufacturing sector.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Operate and maintain additive manufacturing machinery.
  • Prepare machines for new production runs.
  • Ensure parts are cleaned and ready for shipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the additive manufacturing area.
  • Engage in occasional machining tasks and expand machining skills.
  • Interpret and analyze blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
  • Exhibit regular and punctual attendance.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience in manufacturing.
  • Preferred experience in machining.
  • Strong enthusiasm for rapid prototyping and 3D printing technologies.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to deliver successful outcomes under tight deadlines.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Solid understanding of GD&T and the capability to visualize in three dimensions.
  • Familiarity with software such as SolidWorks, MasterCAM, 3DXpert, or Magics.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • This position requires exposure to manufacturing areas where personal protective equipment is mandatory, including safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed footwear.
  • Work is primarily conducted in environments with standard ambient temperatures and typical plant lighting.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to sit or stand as necessary.
  • Walking primarily on level surfaces for various periods throughout the day.
  • Reaching above shoulder height, below the waist, or lifting as needed to access documents or store materials.
  • Proper lifting techniques are essential.
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Capability to meet the physical demands of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
