Electronic Repair Technician

We are seeking an Electronic Repair Technician to be part of our team at Technology Recovery Group. The ideal candidate will have experience repairing devices including mobile devices, PCs/Laptops, printers, and scanners. The successful candidate will be responsible for the entire process from assessment through repair.
Daily Tasks- RF Unit Check: Access Locker Console to obtain a list of RF units checked in as unusable. Check unusable RFs to diagnose problem, including physical damage, loose external screws, boot up and network connection, touch screen functionality, and scanner operation.
- Handheld RF Unit Check: Check with end users during walk through to discover issues and correct. For RFs not in use, daily check keyboard function, rattling, physical damage, loose external screws, boot up and network connection, touch screen functionality, scanner operation, battery health, and correct configuration issues.
- Truck Mount Check: Check for physical damage to keyboard, mount, antennas, scanner cable, keyboard cable. Verify power available, keyboard function, scanner operation, network connection, and touch screen functionality. Submit ServiceNow ticket with accurate and detailed description of problem for repairs or part replacements.
- Vehicle Mounted Computer Check: Make the rounds throughout DC to check out vehicle mounted computers checking for physical damage to keyboard, mount, antennas, cables. Keep spare truck mounts configured and available to deskside techs to replace problem units in production.
- Printer Maintenance: 2X daily walk though production area and check printers and talk with users to discover problems and correct. Respond and resolve tickets for label printer problems, escalating to print team as necessary. Weekly PM of cleaning, configure printers as needed, and check inventory of accessories and spare parts.
- Units Bound for TRG: Collect devices needing repair from lockers and storage. Create RMAs using Service Hub, coordinate with cage athletes to update records, pack for shipping, and deliver to shipping or designated contact.
- Units Returning from TRG: Verify that the unit is working by physically looking over the device, inserting a charged battery, boot up the device, verifying network and WMS connection, and testing scanner functionality.
- Use Slack, Teams, and personal phone for immediate communication. Proficient and timely use of email to keep management informed of work and resolution status. Frequent communication with team members, create weekly reports to document work performed, monitor, track, and report on repairs.
- Check inventory of reserve label stock provided by TRG and report. Provide reports to management of current stock levels.
- Check inventory of spare scanners for workstations/desktops.
