Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Blood Product Storage and Distribution Specialist to join our team at the American Red Cross. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient storage, processing, and distribution of blood products to hospitals and medical facilities across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Management: Ensure that blood products are stored and handled in accordance with strict quality and safety standards.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of blood product inventory, including tracking and reporting on product levels, expiration dates, and shipping schedules.
  • Shipping and Receiving: Coordinate the receipt and shipment of blood products, ensuring timely delivery to hospitals and medical facilities.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Communication: Collaborate with hospital clients, vendors, and internal teams to resolve any issues or concerns related to blood product distribution.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; two years of experience in a regulatory, distribution, or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Skills: Good computer skills, attention to detail, accurate documentation, and good decision-making skills.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, stretch, stoop, and bend for extended periods; lift, pull, push, and move objects of up to 50 pounds.
