About the Role

The kpCompanies team is leading the search for a seasoned and community-centric Executive Director for Healthy Community Initiative (HCI). This is a strategic leadership opportunity for a seasoned professional who can drive the organization's mission forward.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Leadership and Strategy: Develop and implement infrastructure and programs for youth and families, including collective impact initiatives that improve outcomes for children and youth.
  2. Communication and Advocacy: Promote and communicate HCI's mission and vision to both internal and external audiences.
  3. Financial Management: Oversee policy and fiscal operations, including budget planning, audits, grant management, and regulatory compliance, in collaboration with the Treasurer and Finance Committee.
  4. Fundraising and Development: Set strategies and lead efforts to meet fundraising goals in partnership with the Board of Directors.
  5. Relationship Building: Build effective relationships with staff, community and business stakeholders, nonprofit and education partners, and individuals.
  6. Data-Driven Decision Making: Champion the use of data-driven approaches and technology to enhance efficiency and impact.
  7. Governance and Accountability: Collaborate with the Board of Directors and committees to ensure strong governance and accountability.
  8. Innovation and Partnerships: Identify opportunities for innovation and strategic partnerships to expand HCI's reach and impact.
  9. Staff Development: Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain a high-performing staff.
Qualifications
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Business, or related).
  2. Leadership Experience: 5 years of proven leadership/supervisory experience.
  3. Fundraising and Financial Management: Minimum 3 years of proven experience in fundraising, fiscal management, and budget oversight.
  4. Collaboration and Communication: Demonstrated success in managing teams and building collaborative partnerships with diverse stakeholders.
  5. Data-Driven Programming: Experience leading data-driven programming and utilizing technology to improve operations.
  6. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong track record of effective communication, both written and verbal.
  7. Board Governance: Experience working with a Board of Directors and committees.
  8. Commitment to HCI's Mission: Committed to leading work that improves the lives of children and youth in Rice County, MN.
Equity and Salary Disclosure

We believe in practices that create real equity and pay parity regardless of background or identity. We freely discuss compensation with all qualified candidates the first time we interview them. The expected salary range is $160,000-$185,000, depending on qualifications.
