Job Title: Veterinarian - Community Medicine

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Veterinarian to join our Community Medicine team in Los Angeles. As a Veterinarian, you will provide high-quality, compassionate care to animals in underserved communities, working closely with our team to deliver essential services to those who need them most.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide preventive and basic care to patients in underserved areas of Los Angeles
  • Oversee all aspects of veterinary care during a clinic day, including physical examination, diagnostics, treatment recommendations, and delivery
  • Perform pre-surgery physical examinations on all surgical candidates
  • Diagnose and treat post-surgical medical complications
  • Provide a safe and compassionate environment for animals in our care, our staff, and for our clients by using low-stress handling techniques
  • Triage and refer cases that do not fall within CM's parameters of care as appropriate
  • Perform humane euthanasia in accordance with ASPCA policy and protocols

Requirements:

  • Current California State Veterinary License
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent Veterinarian License
  • Experience in general small animal practice or shelter medicine required

Language:

English (Required), Spanish

Education and Work Experience:

Doctorate: Veterinary Medicine (Required), DVM: Veterinary Medicine
