At Great Wolf Lodge, we are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our team and drive strategic growth. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for executing HR strategies to support the success of our Pack.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide ongoing support and guidance in day-to-day recruiting, including supervision of recruitment and hiring processes.
  • Effectively assess and prioritize staffing needs, develop and implement strategies to improve staffing levels, and manage labor models.
  • Plan and execute performance management processes, including goal setting, coaching, and performance appraisals.
  • Investigate employee concerns, present findings, and recommend outcomes.
  • Develop and implement training programs to onboard new employees and leaders, and ensure completion of required courses in Great Wolf University.
  • Support employee development by offering coaching and guidance on career paths.
  • Oversee leave administration, payroll processing, and tenure increase processes.
  • Handle benefits questions and lead the annual Open Enrollment process.
  • Manage workers' compensation claims and oversee recognition and culture initiatives.
  • Communicate information and ideas clearly and confidently, both verbally and in writing.
  • Provide feedback that supports employee growth, development, and engagement.
  • Assist in building bridges between departments, leaders, and employees across the lodge.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year previous HR experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screen.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in the hotel/resort/theme park industry.
  • Human Resources certification or other specialized training.

Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is $75,000 per year. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
