Position Overview:
BCforward is actively seeking a dedicated Fund Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team.
Location: Remote
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Compensation: $39.80 - $40.00 per hour
Role Summary:
The Boston Conversion Team at BCforward plays a crucial role in transitioning external clients onto our operational platforms. This involves designing and implementing processes and controls to support daily production needs. The team is responsible for establishing and maintaining fund and account profiles within our accounting system, utilizing client instructions, fund prospectus details, and legacy records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage fund events including client conversions, fund launches, closures, mergers, in-kinds, and asset transitions while performing standard reconciliations.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of Mutual Fund Accounting, including General Ledger accounting, and assess the downstream impacts of complex fund events.
- Collaborate effectively with team members during conversions, including planning and testing prior to events.
- Availability for weekend work may be required at times.
- Adapt to a dynamic work environment and adjust to changes in daily workloads and requirements.
- Exhibit proven reconciliation skills, including the ability to create ad-hoc reconciliations of Trial Balances, General Ledgers, and Cash/Assets.
- Utilize advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
